Tell us about your founder!

Malcolm Emanuel Lee founded Gabb to digitize a new learning process targeting the root causes of failure in language learning today and is aligned to how we learn best - experientially. With 10+ years of experience studying languages, 10 years studying the brain, and pursuing a PhD in neuroscience from University of California in Los Angeles. He’s built relationships with the largest world language departments of the largest public and charter K-12 school systems in the US, and Malcolm is uniquely positioned to deliver a pedagogically-sound, results-driven learning solution with an implementation apparatus needed to scale Immersive Virtual Reality (IVR) for all students learning any language. He holds a BS and M.S. in Cognitive Neuroscience from GMU, won the NBA foundation pitch competiton, and is a Black Ambition Prize recipient.

Gabb, founded in 2017, is pioneering efficacious learning experiences in virtual reality. Backed by the Pharell Williams, UCLA, Chelsea Clinton and the Clinton Foundation, and Verizon Wireless. Gabb is the first spatial learning platform for neuroscience-based education, scaling a new way of learning core languages that actualizes pedagogies that we know work best. In 2024, Gabb will launch its VR language modules (Gabb Labs Math) for consumers via the Meta Quest bringing joyful and spatial learning to anyone: Students, teachers, tutors, and parents.
